The Jewelry
LAR NICOLE JEWELRY is a unique range of fine to funky artisan jewelry created with highly skilled techniques all designed and handmade by Lara Williams. The design aesthetic flows between a boho vibe that is influenced by the organic lines of nature to rustic hand wrought textures with a little art deco inspiration found here and there. The pieces incorporate the use of decorative hand engraving, metal forming, and precision stone setting produced by hand fabrication with raw materials and timeless metalsmithing techniques or using the latest technology of CAD modeling to create the more sophisticated designs to be set with precious gemstones.
The offerings you find while perusing LAR NICOLE JEWELRY come in various forms. There are one-off designs that are ready to be worn and admired immediately, made to order jewelry that will be handcrafted especially for the purchaser who may choose to customize the piece before production begins on it, or one can be bold and work with Lara on an all-out full custom project. She can guide you through the process of taking a design idea or element and translating it into a piece of wearable art that can become a family heirloom, a ring fit for a proposal, or simply a new adornment to be worn as feel-good armor. All jewelry is made one piece at a time allowing her to pay special attention to the fine details that produce quality craftsmanship. Her dedication for making true artisan jewelry means nothing is ever made from molds or cast in large quantities for mass production. Lara considers her craft an act of art rather that an act of business. Every item is designed, crafted, and finished by Lara in her artist studio with the only exception being to contract out 3D printing and casting of her computer aided designs. |
The Jeweler

She graduated in 2007 after completing the Jewelry Manufacturing and Applied Jewelry Arts programs and later completing the Diamond Essentials course long distance, in addition, she has also studied hand engraving and has taken courses in this craft throughout her career. Immediately after finishing school at GIA she accepted a bench jeweler position in the manufacturing shop of a fine jewelry retailer in the world class ski resort town of Sun Valley, Idaho.
